NORTH Thanet Conservatives have re-selected MP Roger Gale to fight the seat at the next General Election.
Ramesh Chhabra, of Cliftonville, was also chosen to continue as the party's youngest senior association chairman.
Mr Gale said: “It is a particular privilege and honour to be my party's standard-bearer and to represent all of the people of the constituency in Parliament.
“Under the chairmanship of Ramesh Chhabra we have made significant gains during the past year, taking control of Thanet District Council and doubling the number of council seats that we hold in Herne Bay.
“I know that I cannot please all of my constituents all of the time and I have on occasions had to make hard choices and decisions.
“I hope and believe that over the years the people I represent have come to understand that, without fear or favour, I will say what I think and mean what I say.
“As a team, we are here to do our best to help not just those that vote for us but all of the people that we represent. It is my aim that we should continue to do exactly that".
