It is hoped a main road in a Kent seaside town will reopen tomorrow following emergency gas network repairs.
Gas distribution firm SGN sealed off Marine Terrace on Margate seafront on Saturday "for everyone's safety", so it could carry out the repairs outside amusement park Dreamland.
The road remains shut in both directions, while SGN works to rectify the issue.
The firm's repairs map says the work could last until midnight next Monday, February 7.
But spokesman Waseem Hanif says it is hoped it will be completed by tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.
Mr Hanif said: "Our engineers have completed essential repairs and we're now working to reinstate the area around our site.
"For safety, Marine Terrace remains closed to motorists in both directions while our resurfacing work takes place.
"We're hoping to be able to safely reopen the road by tomorrow evening (Tuesday, February 1)."
A diversion is in place directing motorists along Belgrave Road, Ramsgate Road, Margate Road, Park Road, the A299 Canterbury Road and the A28.
