Woman in 80s dies after being hit by own car in Percy Avenue, Broadstairs

A woman in her 80s has tragically died after she was hit by her own car.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident in Broadstairs yesterday at 3.09pm.
Officers are keen to talk to a man seen jogging along Percy Avenue who is believed to have alerted neighbours who called the emergency services.
The victim, a woman in her 80s, was involved in a single car crash which involved a blue Hyundai I30. The vehicle belonged to her and she was stood outside of it before being hit.
Police, paramedics and the fire service arrived but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her next of kin has been informed.
