There was wide-spread disruption on part of the county's train network this afternoon.
Southeastern services stopped running between Ramsgate and Ashford International, via Canterbury West, shortly after 3pm.
The travel firm said the issue was due to a tree which has fallen on the line.
The line was re-opened at around 5.15pm. The train operator apologised to passengers who were delayed in the meantime.
