Touching tributes have poured in to an "inspirational" writer and journalist following her death.
Jane Wenham-Jones, from Broadstairs, died yesterday following a battle with cancer.
She wrote a number of books, including Raising the Roof, Perfect Alibis and One Glass is Never Enough.
Her newest novel, Old Enough to Know Better, was published on August 19 - just days before her death.
She also published two non-fiction writing guides, called Wannabe a Writer and Wannabe a Writer We’ve Heard Of, and has been credited with helping other authors launch their careers.
Janie Millman posted: "So sad to tell you that gorgeous Jane Wenham-Jones lost her battle against cancer yesterday.
"A very bright light has gone out... talented, inspirational, warm and loving... she brought joy to so many.
"RIP darling... We will miss you so much."
Caroline Jones added: "Very sad to hear the news about Jane Wenham-Jones.
"She helped so many writers get their careers off the ground and could bring a room to life just by walking into it."
Julie Cohen posted on Twitter: "Jane Wenham-Jones was a kind and generous woman and a skilled writer.
"A funny and wise teacher, she helped countless writers learn their craft.
"I looked up to her; what a role model she was. Rest in peace, Jane."
The journalist had also written articles for a number of national and regional news outlets, including the Guardian, The Sun, The Times and the Daily Express.
She was also a regular contributor to Woman’s Weekly and had a monthly advice page in Writing Magazine.
Last year she bagged Columnist of the Year at the Kent Press and Broadcast Awards for her lockdown diary column, which appeared in the Isle of Thanet News.
A Cancer Research fundraiser has since been launched in memory of her, which can be visited here.
