Margate: Two men from Sittingbourne arrested following disturbance at railway station

Two men have been arrested after police and ambulance crews descended on Margate Railway Station following a disturbance.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers were called to the station at midday yesterday after concerns were raised for two men who were lying on the platform.

A 38-year-old man from Sittingbourne was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and possessing a blade.

A 27-year-old from Sittingbourne was arrested on suspicion of breaching a criminal behaviour order.

They remain in custody.
