Firefighters have freed two people after they were trapped following a car crash near Westwood Cross shopping centre.

Fire crews assisted at the scene of the crash involving two cars which happened just after half 3.30pm this afternoon in Margate Road, Broadstairs.

They stabilised the vehicles and helped release a man and woman who were trapped.

They were passed in to the care of SECAmb.

Police were also at the scene.
