Two people have been injured after a stage collapsed prior to an event in Ramsgate.
Police were called to Marina Esplanade at about 11.20am to assist ambulance crews at the scene.
Organisers had been erecting a small portable stage ahead of the event celebrating the 80th anniversary of the opening of the Ramsgate Tunnels in 1939.
The injuries are believed to be minor.
Officers cordoned off the area as they dealt with the incident.
Despite this, the event has gone ahead.
