Ramsgate: Thief was stopped from stealing a woman's handbag by two other women who came to her aid

Two women came to the rescue as a thief tried to snatch a handbag from a woman's arm.
Police are now trying to trace the brave women after the incident in Wilfred Road, near to Ramsgate Railway Station.
A suspect approached his victim and tried to pull her handbag from her arm, but the two women held on to the bag and the thief ran off empty-handed.
He is described as a white man, aged in his 30s, around 5ft 7in tall with short dark brown hair.
He was wearing a brown shirt and red or maroon shorts during the incident on Sunday, April 9.
The two women who came to the victim’s assistance are asked to contact PC Chris Bungard on 01843 222181.
