Part of a busy main road was sealed off after a van crashed into a pedestrian crossing.
The London-bound carriageway of the A299 Thanet Way in Ramsgate was closed following the accident close to the Minster Roundabout at about 5.40am today.
Kent County Council's highways team was warning motorists to expect delays in the area while cops recovered the vehicle.
A police spokesman said: "We were called to the scene at 5.39am.
"A vehicle collided with the pedestrian crossing near the roundabout in Minster.
"The carriageway was closed in order to recover the vehicle and make the road safe."
The route was reopened at about 9am.
