Shocking footage has captured water gushing down a road after a main burst.
St Peter's Road in Broadstairs was blighted by huge floods over the weekend after the leak sprung on Friday.
It comes as adjoining Percy Road remains closed due to a "void" in the residential street - but authorities say it is unclear if it is connected to the leak.
Southern Water has confirmed the flooding was due to a mains leak, which has since been fixed.
But Percy Road remains shut by what was initially described as a "carriageway collapse" by Kent Highways.
The authority posted on social media yesterday: "Road closed December 12 for up to seven days due to carriageway collapse.
"The road has been closed at Percy Road.
"The alternative route is via St Peters Road, Crawford Road, Walmsley Road and B2053 St Peters Park Road."
It is understood Kent Highways is waiting for Southern Water to report back on its investigation of Percy Road.
If the water firm confirms it is not responsible for the repairs, the authority will arrange its own investigation.
The void is described as "small" and appeared as a result of subsidence in the road.
A spokesman for Southern Water said: "We fixed a mains leak on St Peter’s Road, Broadstairs on Saturday.
"We have discussed the matter of the sinkhole with Kent Highways and it isn’t clear that this is related to the leak."
However, the authority has insisted it is not a sinkhole, but a "void in the road".
