Prepare your dragon glass and have your sword at the ready as the terrifying leader of the White Walkers rides into town for Thronefest II.

The Game of Thrones festival will return to Quex Park in Birchington with original Night King actor Richard Brake as one of the star guests.

Joining him will be Game of Thrones and Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade star, Julian Glover CBE, who played Grand Maester Pycell in over 30 episodes of the award-winning series.

Gerald McCarthy, organiser, say fans are in for a treat. "Over 5,000 people came along to our first Thronefest, and this one will be even better. The jousters (who appeared in the series) will be back with a new themed show and White Walkers on horseback will be returning.

"The re-enactment teams are back, we simply had to bring back the beautiful Water Mill Wolves, there'll be even more props in our prop area, lots of GoT cosplayers, plus fans can expect some fantastic additions - one of which will include a six-metre replica of one of the giants from the series. We're talking to a prop-making team interested in creating one of these huge giants and this will be something to behold if all goes to plan.

"Fans from all over Europe and even the USA came along earlier this year and loved it, meeting guests such as Kristain Nairn (Hodor), Tom Wlaschiha (Jaqen H'gar) and Dean-Charles Chapman (Tommen Baratheon). The show has such a global appeal - it's a kind of history-meets-Game of Thrones fantasy event. We've got children ourselves so we've made sure it's family friendly, so there'll be plenty of activities to keep the younger ones busy including junior archery, birds of prey, reptiles, cute and cuddlies, themed face painting, shield-making, and even a 16ft dragon!"

Actor, Miltos Yerolemou, who played Ayra Stark's sword tutor, is returning to offer his sword school to forty lucky people that book early enough, and there'll be a chance for autographs.

There'll be further celebrity guest announcements in the coming weeks.

There'll also be a second Iron Throne. "last year the queues were huge to pose on the famous Iron Throne so next year we've got two. So if you didn't get a chance to get your picture on the throne last time, this time it should be much easier," said Mr McCarthy.

"We're expecting even more interest in this event, partly because it occurs right in the middle of the last ever Game of Thrones series, series 8 - when things will be fever-pitch and it's also likely to be our last Thronefest event too, so people might just want to get their final dose and book for the event nice and early before we wave goodbye to what has become a quite phenomenal series across the world."

Tickets from £18 for adults and £12 for children (other ticket types available) with a 10% discount for all bookings (except sword school) until November 19 by entering Thronefest10.
