Ramsgate: Man arrested after woman reportedly assaulted in Way Hill in Minster

A man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly attacked following a disturbance near a railway station.

At about 3pm yesterday, there was an incident involving a man and a woman in Minster Road, Ramsgate.

It is believed the pair then got into separate silver cars and drove through Minster before stopping in the Way Hill area just before 4pm, where the woman reported being assaulted.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old man from Minster on suspicion of assault.

He has been released on bail until Saturday, August 26.

Anyone who saw the disturbance near to the railway station, the two silver cars travelling in close proximity around Minster or the subsequent assault in Way Hill is urged to call police on 01843 222289 quoting reference 13-0854.
