Woman cyclist dies after crash with car in Dumpton Park Drive, Ramsgate

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman cyclist died following a crash with a car.
The accident happened in Dumpton Park Drive, Ramsgate, at its junction with Montefiore Avenue yesterday at 4.35pm.
A police spokesman said: "The cyclist, a woman in her 50s, sustained fatal injuries and was confirmed deceased at the scene."
The incident also involved a silver Vauxhall Insignia Elite.
Craig Mackinlay, MP for South Thanet, tweeted this morning: "An absolute tragedy. My thoughts go to family and friends - do get in contact if you need any assistance and support at this dreadful time."
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) have appealed for dashcam footage which might have recorded the crash and have asked any witnesses to come forward to help with the investigation.
