Nicole Elkabbas of Broadstairs accused of faking cancer for donations denies charges

A mum accused of pretending to have cancer to receive £45,000 in donations for treatment has denied any wrongdoing.
Nicole Elkabbas, of Edge End Road in Broadstairs, is charged with six counts of fraud.
She is alleged to have falsely claimed to have required treatment for ovarian cancer in order to receive money from the public between February and August last year.
At a hearing at Margate Magistrates' Court today, the 40-year-old pleaded not guilty to all six charges.
Elkabbas, who wore a bold striped shirt and black heels, was given unconditional bail.
She will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on June 3.
