A woman thought to be carrying a knife tried to mug a man at a Margate bus stop.

The suspect approached her victim in Churchfield Place, near St John's Road, and demanded he hand over his phone and money.

When he refused and boarded a bus, the woman fled the scene on foot.

She is described as white, in her 20s and about 5ft 7ins tall. She had a black scarf across her face.
