Police hunt suspect after assault in Margate left two women injured in Ethelbert Crescent

Police hunting a suspect after two women were assaulted have released a CCTV image of a man they want to question.

Detectives are investigating after the pair were attacked in Margate late at night.

The women were in a group who were reportedly approached by a man in Ethelbert Crescent and an altercation took place, police say.

The attack took place on Sunday, June 30 between 12.30am and 12.50am when police were called to the scene near the junction with Edgar Road.

One of the women needed hospital treatment.

A police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene and enquiries are ongoing.

"Anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV image, or if they witnessed the incident itself, are asked to call Kent Police.

"He may be able to assist with their enquiries into a report of an assault in Margate."
