In the queue to impress scouts was John Youngs, 24, from Hythe, who planned to perform Outkast's 'Hey Ya'.
"If you think you have got what it takes then why don't you apply?
He said: "I thought I'd test my singing out today, I play guitar and sing a lot in my spare time.
"I'm just having a go to see what happens, but I'd love to get through and perform at festivals around the country."
The hunt for the nation’s top vocal talent runs from 10am today - and lasts until 5pm in Dreamland’s Ballroom Foyer.
Stefan Walter, from Herne Bay, turned up to give a rendition of Troublemaker by Olly Murs in the hope that it would change his life.
The 19-year-old said: "I want a break from normal life and I'm hoping this is going to be the first step for me to get on the walk of fame.
"I applied last year but got a throat infection so couldn't come."
All any budding hopefuls need to do is turn up on the date and time specified and next up was 24-year-old Tischa Kent, from Canterbury.
"I am nervous that it might not go as well as I hope.
"My dream is to be happy as a performer and I'm singing Higher by Sigma ft. Labrinth."
On the Mobile Audition Tour auditions are on a first come, first served basis, so people turned up early to bag a spot.
First in the queue this morning was 33-year-old Mark Patrick. He said: "I am excited, it's nice for Margate to have the XFactor come down. "My dream is to make it past the first stage and I'm going to sing Straighten Up and Fly Right."
If they impress The X Factor team with their vocals, they will then be in with a chance of auditioning in front of The X Factor judges in the summer.
