Zombies set to invade Thanet cinema
15:08, 25 October 2011
Anyone arriving late at a screening of a George Romero classic at the Carlton Cinema on Saturday (October 29) is in for a shock when the lights go up.
The film is Night of the Living Dead, and people have been invited to dress up as zombies for the occasion.
The event, dubbed Zombiefest, starts at 7pm, when judging of the fancy dress takes place. There are two age groups 15-18 and over-18.
The 1968 film – which is a 15 certificate – will be screened at 9pm, and before that, themed cocktails will be available in the cinema’s tea room, which has a licence for the night.
Tickets are £6 or £5 for concessions.
Carlton Cinema is in St Mildred’s Road, Westgate.
