Margate bounced back from their FA Cup disappointment, winning at Lancing to maintain their unbeaten Isthmian South East start to the season on Saturday.

Having lost their FA Cup third qualifying round replay 2-0 at Isthmian Premier Horsham on Tuesday, winger Jordan Ababio scored the winner off the substitutes’ bench in the 89th minute in their 2-1 victory at Lancing.

His goal came after defender Harry Docherty had levelled the scores on the hour mark following his own goal in first-half stoppage time.

Midfielder Max Walsh also made his bow for Ben Greenhalgh’s side, having joined from rivals Ashford United.

Erith Town remain in the Isthmian South East play-off positions, despite a 2-1 loss at Eastbourne Town.

Captain Harry Taylor equalised for the Dockers - before the home team won it two minutes from time.

Sevenoaks suffered a third defeat in a row as they went down 4-0 at home to Three Bridges.

Midfielder Michael Sarpong was sent off for Marcel Nimani’s men for a second bookable offence with 19 minutes to play.

Isthmian South East leaders Beckenham failed to extend the gap between themselves and Sheppey and Ramsgate - in second and third, respectively - as they were consigned to a 4-2 defeat at Burgess Hill.

Winger Tyler Anderson and defender Thomas Hever got Beckenham back level from 2-0 down - but the hosts found the net twice more.
