There is a new managing director of Ramsgate Football Club.
Local businessman Adam Ferrand has come on board after talks with Richard Lawson, the club's majority shareholder.
Mr Lawson said: “Whilst the football side of the business is running very well, with perhaps the best structure we have possibly ever had, it has been apparent to me for some time that we have needed an additional person or persons to control the business side of the company.
"Over the past 12 months our chairman Phil Fennell and I have been speaking to a number of people who we felt could improve us in that department.
“Adam first worked for me some 30 years ago and I have always taken a keen interest in his career.
"When he started his company, Infrastructure Developments Ltd, some four or five years ago, we worked closely together whilst he steadily built the company.
"He and Phil went to school together and from our discussions to date it is clear they will work well together.
“The board was introduced to Adam on Thursday night and he outlined his aims and ambitions for the club.
"His first objective will be overhauling our commercial activities to give (head coach) Lloyd Blackman an increased playing budget next season.
"With Phil now being able to concentrate fully on what he does best and Adam looking after the rest I think our members and supporters have good reason to be excited.
“It will take time for Adam to understand the complexities of a football club, hence the reason for the appointment now.
"He can settle in for the rest of this season in readiness for the important close-season period."
Ramsgate's home game against Corinthian Casuals on Saturday was postponed because of snow.
They travel to Horsham in Bostik South this weekend.
