Lloyd Blackman says there is no way Ramsgate will underestimate Sevenoaks when the Bostik South East rivals meet in the FA Cup at Southwood on Saturday.

Oaks have yet to collect a league point after winning promotion last season, but Rams boss Blackman says that doesn't necessarily mean his team start as favourites for the first qualifying round tie.

He explained: "I know Micky Collins (the Oaks manager) well and he has assembled a decent side so we'll treat them with the utmost respect.

"Their league campaign has not been too kind to them so far but people I've spoken to have said they've performed well.

"They'll probably see the game as a welcome distraction away from their league form so we'll need to prepare well."

Rams lost 2-1 at Guernsey in the league on Saturday and Blackman admitted it felt like a missed opportunity.

Kyle Smith gave the hosts a seventh minute lead but Blackman felt his side dominated the last hour, only for Charlton Gauvain to score a spectacular goal from the halfway line in the 89th minute.

Rams immediately countered through Harry Stannard but it was too little too late as they slipped to their third league defeat in four.

Blackman explained: "The more the game went on, the stronger we got and for the last 10 minutes of the first half and the whole of the second half we dominated.

"We missed numerous chances, we dictated the play and our ball retention was far superior.

"I felt it was a only a matter of time before we equalised, and had we done so I've no doubts we would have gone onto win.

"It felt like a missed opportunity but this Saturday gives us a chance to right a few wrongs, we just need to be a bit more clinical."
