KentOnline team-of-the-week features players from nine clubs

07:00, 05 February 2018

Our latest team of the week features players from nine Kent clubs.

Manager Steve Watt keeps his place in the dugout after leading Margate to a fifth straight win.

The Blues, who beat Lowestoft 1-0 on Saturday, are third in Bostik Premier having gone nine games unbeaten since New Year's Day.

Ben Nourse is our goalkeeper this week after he made a dramatic debut for Chatham Town in Southern Counties East. Nourse, an Ebbsfleet youth player, was a late replacement for the injured Ryan Nicholls and he made a string of fine saves before heading in a stoppage-time equaliser against Croydon.

At right-back we've gone for Tom Wynter, who normally plays on the left but showed his versatility to help Margate record their third clean sheet in four matches.

Pat Kingwell and Richard Avery proved there's no substitute for experience, especially at centre-half, with their performances over the weekend. Avery kept a clean sheet playing for Thamesmead against Bostik South leaders Lewes while elsewhere in the division, Kingwell showed his quality for Ashford at home to promotion hopefuls Corinthian Casuals.

Lordswood climbed three places in Southern Counties East with a 3-1 win at Glebe and two of their goalscorers have made our XI. Left-back Carl Harrold capped a strong display with Lords' first and midfielder George Blake scored on the ground for a second time this season with an absolute rocket from 30 yards.

Also in the middle of the park we have Dean Rance, who battled hard and earned praise from his manager as Ebbsfleet came up against a strong Tranmere side in the National League.

Dave Martin provides the width in midfield after setting up Jordan Chiedozie's winner for Margate and generally causing Lowestoft all sorts of problems.

We've gone for three up front this week, a system Ian Draycott is used to playing at Folkestone. His sixth goal in five games turned out to be the winner as Invicta beat Brightlingsea 3-2 to stay fourth in Bostik Premier.

Kenny Pogue netted both goals for Southern Counties East leaders Sevenoaks in a 2-1 victory at Sheppey, while Mitch Pinnock scored one and set up another for Dover in the FA Trophy against Leyton Orient.
