George Crimmen is the latest player to earn a contract at Ramsgate.
The former Sittingbourne defender has signed a two-year deal after being reunited with joint-bosses Jim and Danny Ward.
Jim Ward said: “We have been after George for a couple of years. He is big, strong and loud, has got a voice and is a good, solid, Ryman League player.
“He is still in his early 20s, he is experienced at this level and gives everything he has got, the type Danny and I like to sign.”
The joint boss was due to speak to two other players this week. He added: “One plays at No.10, the other is a winger, both are youngsters and will be good signings if we get them.”
Ramsgate beat Canterbury City 2-1 in their latest pre-season friendly on Tuesday night and face Margate in the second leg of the WW Martin Cup on Friday (7.45pm).
Rams lead 1-0 from the first leg earlier this month, thanks to Tom Loynes’ first-half winner but Ward reckons Gate will be a different proposition this time.
He said: “I am sure they will be more organised. We caught them on the hop in the first game but it will be another competitive friendly.”
