Gareth Nutt said: “This donation from the MARS Milk Play Fund couldn’t have come at a better time.

"Given the winter floods, our ground has taken somewhat of a battering and we are looking to improve our back stop back to its former glory.

"It is made of metal and so started to rust over the winter. This donation is a great boost to get our fund under way.”

The MARS Milk Play Fund was set up to help individuals, clubs and groups and runs until September, 30 2014.

There are ten £300 awards that are donated each month. There is also a £1,000 award for the monthly People’s Choice award, where the public can vote for their favourite individual, club or team.
