Parents are invited to bring their babies along to a comedy club with a difference.
Bring Your Own Baby Comedy will visit The Plough Inn in Hildenborough, on Wednesday, November 29 and Wednesday, December 20.
The show allows parents to relax and enjoy adult comedy, which their children can’t understand.
Specifically for parents with kids under one, while the adults are enjoying the show, children are kept amused by soft toys.
The project was created in September last year and has grown from a lone venue in Beckenham to 16 different towns across the country.
Alyssa Kyria came up with the idea shortly after having her daughter, Lola. She explained: "I was going through a tough time.
"I was struggling with breast-feeding and felt very nervous feeding in public as Lola would scream, I would panic, and we’d both usually end up crying.
"I sank into a nasty bout of post-natal depression, and I think a lot of that was due to feeling like I couldn’t leave the house for fear of being judged."
A friend and fellow comic, Carly Smallman, told her how her sister had also found motherhood isolating and had struggled with her confidence, so the pair decided to pool their comedy talent and create something for parents.
Mrs Kyria added: "We provide everything to ensure that no-one at our gigs has to go through the nerves and panic that I once did.
"We have bottle warmers, baby changing, buggy parking, soft play, toys, lights and bubbles for the babies."
Doors open at 11.30am for the monthly show at the Leigh Road venue. Tickets are £10 and can be booked at tinyurl.com/BYOBComedy
