Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital with serous injuries after a crash on the A227 Shipbourne Road, Tonbridge

A teenage motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after the bike he was riding collided with a car.
The crash involved a silver Ford S-Max and happened on the A227 Shipbourne Road, Tonbridge at about 2.30pm yesterday, closing the road between Willow Lea and St Bernards Road until about 7pm.
The 16 year-old rider was taken to London for treatment.
Steve Knight, spokesman for Kent Police, said: "The motorcyclist has been airlifted to a London hospital with serious injuries and officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are carrying out inquiries at the scene."
The driver of the car and a young passenger were not injured in the collision.
Officers believe that another motorcyclist was in the area and would urge the rider to get in touch.
