A man was surprised to find a large bird of prey sitting on his car this morning.
Trevor Brittain, aka @TrevorB58 on Twitter, shared the photos of the creature seen in Yardley Park Road, Tonbridge, on Twitter.
The 58-year-old said: "I pulled back the curtains at about 9.30am, saw a movement and first thought through the windscreen that there was a large wood pigeon sitting on the car bonnet.
"Then it stood up straight and I saw it clearly, picked up the phone and took a few pictures before it flew."
Trevor, who works for Kent County Council's education governing body added: "No apparent damage to the car!
"Local suggestion is that it is a Harris Hawk which escaped in north Tonbridge last year."
According to the Independent Bird Register, the creature has been loose since July 2016.
