A burst water main has closed several roads in Offham.
Emergency works are being carried out at the junction of Seven Mile Lane and Comp Lane which is expected to continue into tomorrow.
The burst happened at 4.15pm in a 120inch water main on Seven Mile Lane. Due to the damage to the road surface Seven Mile Lane has been closed at the junction of Comp Lane.
Nick Bell, Head of Operations Kent at South East Water, said: “The pipe which burst is used for transporting high volumes of water around our network. Repairs to the pipe are now complete, and our focus is now on returning the road to its original condition in order to reopen it as soon as it is safe to do so."
A diversion has been put in place, which will use the A20 London Road, A228 Ashton Way, A228 Malling Road and the A26 Tonbridge Road.
