A housebuilding company in Kent is celebrating 40 years of continued success.

A B Canham & Son in Vale Road, Tonbridge underwent a re-brand last year and has built 250 homes since 2002.

40 years on the directors are celebrating the company's on-going success and believe it is a significant milestone.

Founder, Alan Canham said: "Having seen off difficult economic times and four separate recessions, I am rightly proud to see the company has come through all these challenges and now stronger than ever."

Michael Canham, son of Alan, who now manages the business after his father’s retirement 15 years ago, added: “This is a landmark time for us, having experienced over 40 years of building success and with many exciting new projects on the horizon.

"This positions us as a leader in our field and prepares us going forward to meet any challenges we face in the next 40 years."

Sharon Budd, daughter of Alan, who manages the financial side of the business said: “Our turnover has tripled in the last year and with an order book of in excess of £17M we are looking to expand even further.

"It’s an exciting time as we continually strive to refine our attention to detail and expand our reputation as a master builder. The values that Canham were built on all those years ago are the foundations to the success of our business.“

The company is now aiming to branch out and provide custom in the Sevenoaks area.
