Motorists were facing delays as a main road was partly closed due to a damaged bridge.
The northbound carriageway on the A21 between the A26 for Tonbridge and the A225 for Morleys Roundabout, in Sevenoaks, has reopened following a temporary repair.
It was sealed off at around 7.25am this morning (July 15) due to a damaged bridge joint.
However, by 11am all lanes had reopened following a temporary repair.
National Highways confirmed the damage was caused by a structural defect and a permanent fix will be planned.
At around 8.30am, there were 40-minute delays on the approach to the A21 northbound.
A diversion route was in place and motorists were being told to exit the A21 at the Vauxhall Lane junction, take the A2014 to Vauxhall Roundabout, then take the exit onto the A26 and travel along this road to the junction with the A227 Hadlow Road.
They should have then turned left onto the A227 until the junction with the B2260, then turned right onto the A227, then taken another left onto the B245 and travel through Hildenborough to Morleys Roundabout.

Drivers were then told to take the third exit to rejoin the A21.
Police officers and National Highways teams were on the scene earlier.
