East Peckham Russett Players to stage a new play

An amateur dramatic society based in Kent is preparing to stage a new production.
The East Peckham Russett Players were founded in 2012 and have performed a handful of times since.
The group's founder, Marilyn Apps, won a community enhance award in 2013 for the society's first production.
Since then, the group has grown and is embarking on its fifth stage show, 'The Darling Buds of May'.
Directed by Marilyn Apps, the production will take place in East Peckham Village Hall on Friday May 29 at 8pm plus a matinee and evening show on Saturday, May 30 at 3pm and 8pm.
A spokesman for the group said: "We are very excited about this next venture as it will be our third big community play. The group performs two productions a year - the spring show is dedicated to involving the local community, while in the autumn it tends to be an adult play with a smaller cast.
"Our last production in November was an Alan Ayckbourn play - the dramatic comedy 'Neighbourhood Watch'. It proved a great success.
"We have grown from strength to strength and are excited to stage this new show. It is a comedy by H.E Bates."
Marilyn Apps is passionate about bringing drama to East Peckham and the surrounding area. She therefore invited anyone who wishes to take part in all aspects of the production to join via the local parish magazine.
