Firefighters did a cracking job after being called to reports of a fire near Tonbridge yesterday.
Crews had to force entry to the property in Falmouth Place, Five Oak Green, where they discovered eggs had been left on the hob too long and the pan had boiled dry - causing the smell of smoke.
The occupier, who was upstairs, was worried for their safety and dialed 999.
Two engines were quickly on the scene, arriving at around 3.50pm - they then used a ventilation fan to clear smoke from the kitchen.
No injuries were reported and Kent Fire and Rescue Service reports a stop time of 4.25pm.
