Speaking after the service, close friend Olivia Kernick said: "It's just horrid to have to say goodbye so soon due to someone's selfish actions but I'm glad I was one of many to know him!
"He will always been remembered for his cheeky sense of humour and loving heart. It's devastating he had his whole life ahead of him. rest in peace Billy."
Family friend Reece Bailey added: "Billy was a very close family friend my mum has known the family before he was even born. We all grew up together and he was one of the nicest kindest people. He was always happy just a really lovely person.
"His dad and brothers gave him a perfect send off their strength as a family is amazing its not been long that their mum Sarah passed now this its just so sad. He's back with his mum now and Billy will live on in the hearts of all that were lucky enough to know him. Rest in peace."
Leeds man, Richard Danter, was arrested and charged with Mr Mankelow's murder.
