Great Comp Garden welcomed record numbers of visitors to their two day Summer Show at the weekend.

Organisers say 3200 people walked through the garden gates of the 17th century manor house in Platt, Sevenoaks.

The annual show, celebrating its 13th year, doubled its usual number and broke the record created at last year's for visitor numbers in a single day.

Curator of the seven acre garden, William Dyson, said: "On this special weekend for cricket, we were bowled over by the response from visitors to our Summer Show.

"We had close to 40 exhibitors and 3200 people onsite over the two day festival dedicated to plants, art and garden ornamentation.

"Strings & Things quintet played wonderful jazz on the lawn and a lot of unusual and beautiful plants were exhibited.

"All in all it was a perfect summer weekend and we'd like to thank our wonderful exhibitors for putting on such a phenomenal display, we need to thank our group of volunteers for their steadfast work and finally we want to thank the 3200 visitors who made it such a special weekend and helped us break all records!"
