The school summer holidays are rapidly approaching and plans are underway to make the break the best one yet.

With six weeks of freedom in front of them, children will be ready to make the most of their time off and Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council is ahead of the curve with its popular playscheme programme ready to go.

Organisers have packed the days full with activities to keep the young ones entertained and hope it continues to be popular with local families.

There are 13 venues across the borough running involved and each site is equipped with a fully qualified team of staff dedicated to making their summer one to remember.

The Council is also running Summer Activate from Monday July 28 to Friday August 22 for young people aged 8-16 years.

The summer programme will cost parents £38 per week per child or £13 per week per family for leisure pass holders.

The Council also offers a playscheme plus programme for children with additional needs including special educational needs and/or physical disabilities.

Cllr Maria Heslop, cabinet member for leisure, youth and arts, said: "I would like to thank all the local clubs, organisations and parish councils who have worked with us again this year to provide yet another great holiday programme of activities for young people this summer.

"The brochures are out now so all you need to do is take a look and book whatever takes your fancy."
