The Green Party has selected one of its Kent candidates ahead of next month's General Election.
April Clark will stand for election in Tonbridge and Malling for the Greens.
Cllr Clark will be hoping for another upset, after she was elected to Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council earlier this year.
The 37-year-old joined Cllr Mark Hood in ousting Tories from Judd ward on TMBC at May's local council elections.
A human resources director and a mother of one, Cllr Clark has lived in the centre of Tonbridge since 2008.
Ahead of December 12's election, Cllr Clark said: "I am proud to have been selected as the Parliamentary candidate for Tonbridge and Malling. Westminster politicians have failed us all on Brexit, we need a People’s Vote to give power back to the people.
"We also need investment in our local communities to tackle the climate crisis and transform Britain to one that works for everyone."
Cllr Clark's successful council election campaign saw the Greens criticise the council's local plan and promote protecting local green space.
