Games, face-painting and football are just some of the activities planned for a free community event in Edenbridge during half-term.
The free fun day takes place at the Lingfield Road Recreation Ground on Wednesday 27 May from 1pm to 4pm.
As well as children’s fun and games, community chef Maggs Murray will be on hand with healthy cooking demonstrations and free samples.
Sevenoaks District Council’s animal welfare officer, Ann-Marie Milton, will be micro chipping dogs for free, handing out free dog bags and advising on responsible dog ownership.
There will also be an opportunity for residents to get advice on health, housing, employment and much more.
Cllr Peter Fleming, leader of the council, said: “This free event will help to entertain children during the school break while giving parents and carers access to help and advice on healthy living, housing and more. I’m crossing my fingers now for fine weather on the day.”
The event has been organised by the Sevenoaks District Community Safety Partnership and Moat Homes with support from Edenbridge Town Council, West Kent Housing, West Kent Extra, Kenward Trust, Kick Kent and Edenbridge Rugby Club.
