Detectives investigating a reported robbery at a betting shop in Tonbridge have charged a man.

Shane Kent, 28 from Wheeler Street in Maidstone has been charged with robbery and possession of an offensive weapon after the incident in the High Street branch of Coral on November 1.

He was also charged with another robbery on the same day in Tonbridge.

He has also been charged with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon following an incident in Gravesend on November 2.

He was remanded in custody and is due at court at a later date.
