20-year-old Ruby Harrison from Tonbridge recruited to work alongside Nile Rodgers and Rudimental

A 20-year-old woman from Tonbridge has been recruited from thousands of hopefuls for a work experience position with Grammy award winning musician, Nile Rodgers.
Ruby Harrison, from Tonbridge, will work alongside Nile and chart-topping band Rudimental to remix the track 'Le Freak'.
Ruby will take on the role of PR assistant working with professional mentors to complete the job.
The once-in-a-lifetime collaboration will see Ruby be part of a team that will remix the hit record and perform it live at a London show on Thursday, October 9, before the track is released the following day.
The world renowned artists have teamed up with GoThinkBig - a work experience initiative launched by O2 and Bauer Media – to offer young people across the country a chance to join their ‘supergroup’.
Nile, Rudimental and GoThinkBig have recruited 100 young people to fill job roles in support of Le Freak’s re-release, nearly 40 years after it first went to number one in the US and UK charts.
Young people aged between 16 and 24 were invited to apply for a host of different roles The project was designed to offer applicants a unique opportunity to kick-start their career by landing a dream work placement.
A huge range of positions were made available from production to performance, sound technicians through to studio managers, camera crew to stylists and box office to marketing.
Each young person appointed to a role will work closely with a professional counterpart during September for the production of the track and into October for the live show at the IndigO2.
Nile Rodgers, of CHIC and the Founder of We Are Family Foundation said: “Ruby was chosen because of her skills, she has spent time crafting her talents through work experiences and this showed through her application.
