Tonbridge Lions Club will perform Robin Hood in association with the CLIPS Theatre Company at the Angel Centre in Angel Lane

A new production of Robin Hood will be presented by the Tonbridge Lions Club next month.

Amongst the large cast of the show being performed at the Angel Centre in Angel Lane are two local families, some of whom have starring roles.

The Barr family is represented by Kirsten as Maid Marion and Alicia as Babe Rosie. Their mum, Rachel, plays Will Scarlet - an outlaw of Robin Hood.

The Collis family feature dad, Martin, as the Sherriff of Nottingham, and mum, Lynne as one of the sherrif's henchmen, younger son ivan as Babe Tom and eldest son Oscar as another of Robin Hood's outlaws.

The CLIPS Theatre Company, performing the show, prides itself on utilising local talent in its community pantomime productions, which have been part of the Tonbridge scene for 25 years - previously being held at the Tonbridge Baptist Church.

Performances are Friday, December 19 at 7.30pm and Saturday, December 20 at 10.30am, 2.30pm and 6.30pm.

Tickets are available at the Angel Centre Box Office on 01732 359966 and are £12 for adults and £35 for a family of four.

All proceeds from the events will go to local charity.
