15:00, 15 July 2015
A man accused of making indecent images of children has appeared at court.
Kevin Sturla did not enter a plea when he stood before Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The 55-year-old faces 20 different charges including making indecent images of a child and possessing more than 900 pictures to show or distribute.
Sturla, formerly of Deanery Road, Edenbridge, who wore black trousers and a shirt, spoke only to confirm his name during the hearing, which lasted around 15 minutes.
The court was told in November police carried out a warrant at an Edenbridge property. A total of 946 indecent images - ranging from category A, the most severe, to category C - were seized.
Sturla, now of Christmas Close, Wareham will appear for a preliminary hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, July 31.
