Tonbridge: Man airlifted to hospital following car crash in Maidstone Road, Matfield

A man had to be cut out of his car and flown to hospital following a crash near Tonbridge.
The collision, which involved two cars, happened in Maidstone Road in Matfield shortly after 2.30pm.
Emergency services were scrambled to scene where one driver, in his mid 30s, was trapped.
Fire crews used hydraulic rescue cutting gear to release him, before turning him over to the care of paramedics.
He was then transferred to the air ambulance and taken to hospital.
