Officers arrested a suspect in relation to a spate of burglary offences just minutes after he allegedly smashed a shop glass door.
At around 11.30pm last Wednesday (May 10), police were called to a report of a man breaking into a business in Tonbridge High Street before entering to cause further damage.
The man reportedly damaged four other properties in the local vicinity, including several shop windows and a church.
Damian Ksiazek, of no fixed address, was later charged with burglary, four counts of attempted burglary, theft from a shop, and possession of amphetamine.
The 27-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court last Friday, but did not enter a plea.
He has since been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday, June 6.
