Surrey man charged by police after report of aggravated burglary in Edenbridge

A man has been charged with aggravated burglary and a drugs offence after a reported break-in at Edenbridge.
Kent Police arrested 36-year-old Lee Edward John Richards, of Birchfield Close, Coulsdon, Surrey, after an aggravated burglary was reported in Edenbridge on Thursday.
He was charged by officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate with aggravated burglary and possessing cannabis with intent to supply on Friday.
Richards appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Saturday where he was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, October 6.
A 37-year-old woman, also from the Coulsdon area, who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, possessing a firearm without a certificate and possessing cannabis and amphetamine with intent to supply, has been bailed until Tuesday, September 26, while inquiries continue.
