A man has died after being struck by a car and a van on the A21.
The victim, aged in his 40s, had got out of his own pickup truck following a separate collision on the same stretch near Pembury.
Police say he was then struck by a grey Vauxhall Vivaro and grey Skoda Kodiaq while on foot.
The victim, who died at the scene, had been driving a white Isuzu pickup truck and trailer when it collided with the central reservation a short distance away.
His next of kin have been informed.
Both incidents happened on the southbound stretch between the A228 Pembury turn-off and B2160 Kipping's Cross junction shortly after 6pm yesterday evening.
Police kept the carriageway closed for about 12 hours, and it only reopened at 7am.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
