Paddock Wood man Matthew Hobden, sentenced for driving in Cranbrook while disqualified and with no insurance

A Paddock Wood man has been handed a suspended prison sentence, 200 hours of unpaid work and a number of fines for driving offences.

On January 27 Matthew Hobden of Maidstone Road drove a Rover 25 in The Hill, Cranbrook while disqualified and with no insurance.

He pleaded guilty to both offences and was sentenced at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on March 24.

Magistrates sentenced him to 70 days in prison, suspended for 12 months, and disqualified him from driving for 15 months.

He must also carry out the unpaid work within the next 12 months and was fined £165.

He must also pay £300 costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
