Lord Sebastian Coe joined fellow Olympic gold medallist Dame Kelly Holmes for a tour of her old school this morning.

Pupils at Hugh Christie Technology College in Tonbridge were then given the opportunity to quiz the stars over the sporting achievements.

The event, which was topped with a gymnastics performance by pupils hopes to promote the 2012 Olympics among young people.

A film crew from the BBC’s The One show was following the duo throughout the morning for a programme about Dame Kelly’s Heroes growning up, one of which was Lord Coe.

He said: "I was very flattered when Kelly told me that I was a hero all those years ago, I think that we both recognise those inspirations are very imortant as we’re coming through our sport."
