Man suffers burns in house fire in Roman Road, Snodland

A man was taken to hospital after suffering burns in a house fire last night.
Police, fire crews and the ambulance service were called to an address in Roman Road, Snodland, just before 9pm.
People were advised to avoid the area while four fire engines responded to the incident.
Crews tackled the flames for more than three hours and one person was passed into the care of paramedics.
A police spokesperson said: “Officers attended the scene where they assisted fire crews.
“The ambulance service also attended and treated a man for injuries before conveying to hospital for further medical attention.
“Neighbouring properties were evacuated while safety checks were completed and residents were later permitted to return.”
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Emergency services have been contacted for further details.
