Three charged with kidnapping and assault offences after incident in Mann Square, Tonbridge

Arrests have been made after a man was allegedly kidnapped, assaulted and robbed.

Officers are now looking for any CCTV or dashcam footage which may help them discover what happened in Tonbridge on Wednesday, April 17, at around 10.30pm.

Police were called to reports a man had been assaulted at an address in Mann Square, put into a blue Vauxhall Astra and driven to Leigh at around 11.15pm where some of his things were stolen.

A police spokesman said: “It is understood the vehicle briefly stopped in Leigh Road during the journey, near the junction with Stocks Green Road.

“Investigators are also asking residents with CCTV and drivers with dashcam to check for footage of the Vauxhall Astra travelling to and from Leigh between 10.30pm and 11.25pm.”

On Sunday, three men were arrested in connection with the incident.

Rubin Gibbs, 21, of Baker Lane, Tonbridge, Ethan Dunmall, 19, of Mann Square and Adam O’Sullivan, 29, of Somerhill Road, in the same town, were later charged with kidnap, demands with menaces, assault, possession of a knife in a public place and robbery.

The suspects appeared before Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 22 and were remanded ahead of a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on May 20.
